Objective
Seeks to provide current income exempt from federal and California income taxes, and long-term capital appreciation.
Strategy
Invests primarily in municipal debt securities exempt from federal and California income taxes, focusing on those issued by California. At least 80% of net assets will be in these securities, with a limit of 20% in those from U.S. territories. The Fund targets investment grade securities, with up to 50% in non-investment grade, including distressed securities. May invest in derivatives. The Fund aims for current income and long-term capital appreciation while managing credit quality and tax implications.
