Full fund details
- Objective
- Seeks as high a level of current income, exempt from federal income tax, as is consistent with the preservation of capital.
- Strategy
- Normally invests at least 80% of assets in municipal securities whose interest is exempt from federal income tax, primarily investment-grade. These include general obligation bonds, project-specific bonds, and municipal money market securities. The fund maintains a dollar-weighted average maturity between three and 10 years and may invest more than 25% in securities financing similar projects. The Adviser analyzes credit quality and security features to select investments, including derivatives for exposure to market risk factors.
