- Seeks exposure to the large-cap U.S. equity market primarily through S&P 500 Index futures, ETFs tracking the S&P 500, and/or its component stocks. Uses long-dated put options (LEAPS) to offset risk and shorter-dated options to reduce volatility and generate income. LEAPS allow for exposure to prolonged price changes without needing multiple shorter-term options. Under normal conditions, LEAPS will have about 2 years until expiration, while shorter-dated options will be 50-75 days until expiration.
