Objective
Seeks current income and long-term capital appreciation.
Strategy
Actively managed ETF combining an Index Strategy — equity securities included in the S&P 100 Index of the 100 largest U.S. large-cap companies — with an options portfolio that writes options on those Underlying Securities to target a 15% annual distribution. VistaShares uses discretion to reallocate holdings and to invest directly, via an ETF tracking the Index, or synthetically through options and swaps; maintains a cash/U.S. Treasury allocation.

Covered call
Warning

The big yield isn't extra money

The headline distribution comes from selling call options, which caps the fund's upside. Across a full market cycle that trade costs more than it brings in — often 1 to 3 percentage points a year against just holding the index. Monthly payouts make the gap easy to miss on a return summary.
