Seeks attractive tax-exempt income, consistent with preservation of capital.
Strategy
Invests primarily in a diversified portfolio of Municipal Bonds exempt from federal income tax, rated Baa or higher, or determined to be of comparable quality. May invest 25% or more in bonds financing similar projects and in industrial development bonds. Average portfolio duration is not expected to exceed three years. Focuses on bonds with attractive current yields or competitive market prices. May use derivatives and purchase securities on a when-issued or forward commitment basis.
